Responsibilities


The successful candidate will be expected to teach, supervise students, and contribute to curriculum and research activities in Tourism Management at the rank of Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor/ Lecturer.

Teaching responsibilities may include courses such as:

-Information Systems for Travel Industry 

-Special Interest and Niche Tourism

-Introduction to Events and Meetings

-Tourism Geography

-Contemporary Issues in Tourism and Hospitality

-Tourism and Community Development

-HRM in Tourism and Hospitality 

-Food and Beverage Management

-Strategic Marketing in Tourism and Hospitality

-Academic Research and Writing 1: Theory

Tour Guiding

-Academic Research and Writing 2: Dissertation


Education


A basic qualification (minimum 5 years for a Professor position) in Tourism Management from a reputed institution, along with a postgraduate degree (Diploma, Master’s, PhD, or DSc) in the relevant subject. Candidates should have teaching or industry experience and the ability to teach and assess both fundamental and advanced skills at the undergraduate level


Work Experience


2-10  years formal teaching experience, in relevent specialty/subjects after post graduation. Preferably degrees from multiple countries to have a global experience. And work experience in different universities in different countries to be familiar with university functioning in higher education.


Special knowledge and skills


Expertise in tourism management, hospitality, destination marketing, or sustainable tourism. Strong knowledge of tourism policies, travel industry trends, and customer experience management. Proficiency in digital marketing, revenue management, and tourism analytics. Experience in event planning, hotel and resort management, and tourism operations. Experience in research, academic publications, and securing research grants.Familiarity with global tourism regulations, cultural heritage management, and interdisciplinary collaboration


Language Requirements


Mandatory: English – fluency.
